PURPLE CROSSES

my design for the day!!

New Year!!!

Start out the new year ANEW!!! Jesus died on the cross for you and me. When he was on that cross he prayed, "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

If God could forgive the men who nailed his son to the cross, why do you not think he won't forgive you?
What do you think is beyond the forgiveness of God? It stands to reason that if Jesus asked his Father to forgive the very men who crucified him, and God did, then there is nothing and no one that He cannot or will not forgive when he is humbly asked.
Taken from, "Just Give Me Jesus."

If God forgives those who nailed him to the cross why can't you not forgive yourself or someone else who has sinned against you? Are your standards higher than his?

Are you more righteous than he? Who are you to say, " Thank you God, but I can't forgive myself or someone who has sinned against me."

The only response should be," Thank you God, I know I don't deserve it, But I accept your grace and forgiveness. And in return, I forgive that person who has sinned against me"

Start out the New Year ANEW!!! God loves you and wants to be in your life. Give him the opportunity. All you have to do is ask!!!!

AMEN!! Wishing all a very Blessed and Happy New Year!!!!

I have been reading the book, "Just Give Me Jesus" by "Anne Graham Lotz". It has given me such inspiration
If you have a chance please read this awesome book.

Portrait-Who is this??

Well here is my first attempt at drawing portraits.
I call this one: Russian Guy

and here is: Shy Girl

and the last is my first attempt at: Self

I had a lot of fun drawing these images. I now realize I really enjoy drawing portraits. Hopefully with much practice they will look more realistic.

Jesus Makes Happiness Attainable

He discharges the debtors,
  He delivers the captives,
     He defends the feeble,
        He blesses the young,
            He serves the unfortunate.
               He regards the aged.
                   He rewards the diligent.
                       He beautifies the meek.

He is key to knowledge.
He is the wellspring of wisdom.
He is the foundation of faith.
He is the doorway of deliverance.
He is the pathway to peace.
He is the roadway of righteousness.
He is the gateway og glory.
He is the highway to happiness.

Just Give Me Jesus

I just started reading this new book. "Just Give Me Jesus" by: "Anne Graham Lotz"
God is my joy and reason for living. He is....
                                                                   the wing beneath my wings,
                                                           the treasure that I seek,
the Foundation on which I stand,
                                         the song in my heart,
                                 the Object of my desire,
                         the Breath of my life---
He is my All in all!

Embrace Faith

A man is driving a convertible on a mountain road, took an unexpected turn too quickly and went right over the edge. As his car fell, he managed to grab onto a tree sprouting from the cliff face as his car dropped a thousand feet to the canyon floor.
"Help!" he screamed.
"Can anyone hear me?" he cried.
Suddenly the clouds rolled together and a voice like thunder said, "Yes I can hear you."
"Will you help me?"
"Yes, I will help you. Do you believe in me?"
"Yes, I believe in you."
"Do you trust me?"
"Yes, yes I trust you. Please, hurry."
"If you trust me, then let go of the tree," thundered the voice.
After a long silence, the man cried, "Can anyone else hear me?"

If you want to embrace faith, you must let God into your life.

What is your attitude about MONEY?

A husband and wife attended a county fair where a man in an old biplane was giving rides for $50. The couple wanted to ride, but they thought the pilot's price was too high. They tried negotiating to get him to lower the price, offering $50 for them both, but he would not budge. Finally, the pilot made them an offer.
"you pay me the whole $100 and I'll take you up," he said. "And if you don't say a single word during the flight, I'll give you back your money."
They agreed, and the couple got into the plane. Up they went, and the pilot proceeded to do every aerial maneuver he knew: diving, looping, rolling, and flying upside down. When the plane landed the pilot said to the husband, "Congratulations! Here's your $100. You didn't say a word."
"Nope," answered the husband, "but I almost did when my wife fell out."

The Day America Told The Truth

  • James Patterson and Peter Kim published results of a national survey on morals in The Day America Told The Truth. Here are some of the things people said they would be willing to do for $10 million (along with the percentage of people who would do it). They would.....

  • Abandon their entire family (25%)
  • Become prostitutes for a week or more (23%)
  • Give up their American citizenship (16%)
  • Leave their spouse (16%)
  • Withhold testimony, letting a murderer go free (10%)
  • Kill a stranger (7%)
  • Put their children up for adoption (3%)
If these findings don't show that some people believe money will bring them happiness, nothing does!
Two thousand years ago the Roman philosopher Seneca said: Money has yet to make anyone rich

In the bible it says:
Whoever loves money never has money enough,
whoever has wealth is never satisfied with his income,
this  too is meaningless
Ecclesiastes 5:10

    Funny Questions?

    •  Should a person engage a plastic surgeon if his office is filled with Picasso portraits?
    • How much deeper would the oceans be if sponges didn't live in them?
    • If FedEx and UPS were to merge, would the company be called Fed Up?
    • When elderly people spend more time reading the Bible, is it because they're cramming for their finals?
    • If a bus station is where the bus stops, and a train station is where the train stops, what should happen at my workstation?

    Today Matters

I am reading this great book!
    Today I read:
You cannot buy or win happiness. You must choose it.
    Your attitude is contagious!
There are 2 kinds of people in any organization: polluters and purifiers. Polluters are like smokestacks, belching out dirty smoke all the time. They hate clear skies, and no matter how good it gets, they can find a way to make it gloomy. When the people around them "breathe" their toxins, they feel sicker and sicker.
purifiers, on the other hand, make everything around them better. It doesn't matter what kind of rotten atmosphere they encounter. They take in the toxic words of polluters in the organization just as everyone else does, but they filter the words before passing them on. What goes in may be gloomy and negative, but when it comes back out, it's fresh and clear.

    TODAY

Today is the most important day of my life. Yesterday with it successes and victories, struggles and failures is gone forever. The past is past. Done. Finished. I cannot relive it.I can't go back and change it. But I can learn from it and improve my TODAY.
Today. This moment NOW. It is God's gift to me and it is all I have.
Tomorrow with all its joys and sorrows, triumphs and troubles isn't here yet. Indeed, tomorrow may not come. Therefore, I will not worry about tomorrow.
Today is mwhat God has entrusted to me.It is all that I have. I will do my best in it. And when this day is done I will look back with satisfaction at that which I have accomplished.
Then and only then will I plan ,y tomorrow. Looking to improve upon today, with God's help.
Then I shall go to sleep in peace....content.
